With the January deadline for companies to transition over to IFRS17 drawing ever nearer, the demand for actuaries with this expertise far outweighs the supply. This distinguished Life Insurer is looking for a Qualified Actuary to join their Reporting team, to assist with the timely and orderly transition to IFRS17. Here you will be an essential member of the team, assisting senior members of the team and supporting juniors with their work.

About the role:

• Preparing and reporting financial results
• Preparing and reviewing data for IFRS17 balance sheets, which in turn will be presented to stakeholders and senior members of the team
• Being involved in the specification, development, and testing of technical solutions
• Collaborating with the wider team to ensure key deadlines are communicated without any friction and project deliverables are achieved

What they’re looking for in their next hire:

• FIA Qualified Actuary with previous actuarial experience within a Life (re)insurer or consultancy
• Knowledge and experience implementing IFRS17 and Solvency II standards
• Proficient in using actuarial systems such as R, Prophet, Python and/or VBA will be beneficial
• Monthly or quarterly, and yearly reporting
