This is a management role, for a qualified Actuary with an opportunity to relocate to a beautiful part of the British Isles*.
What you would be doing
You would be supporting the work of the Actuarial Insurance team which provides actuarial consultancy services to life insurance, life re-insurance, general insurance and captive insurance clients.
The role includes:
- Ensuring quality and timely delivery of insurance consultancy services to clients
- Representing the business professionally and effectively and to a high standard
- Being responsible for the review of checked work, and to provide checking of more complex or new work of other team members
- Contributing to insurance related projects and processes including product development and process improvement
- Being responsible for the development and maintenance of computer models used within the department
- Training team members
- Developing appropriate formats for ad-hoc reporting and other consultancy services.
- Supporting the development of the insurance consultancy business
Who you will be reporting to
- Partner, Actuarial Insurance Skills and experience required
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent) with ideally 2-3 years post qualification experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Powerpoint,
- Knowledge of PROPHET and/or a statistical programming language such as R or Python would be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills are key
