Senior Manager/Manager, Data Scientist (Singapore)

An exciting opportunity for a data scientist to join a premier life insurer with strong commitment to building up their data science/analytics capabilities. In this newly created position you will be a joining a strong cast and have autonomy towards the advancement of the use of analytics.

In this newly created position, you will be joining one of the premier life insurers with the expectation of:

• Take a pivotal role in the Operations division incorporating processes, policies, guidelines and responsibilities for administering organizations' data in compliance with organization's policies, data governance framework and/or regulatory obligations
• Analyzing the data and to make recommendations about the methods and ways in which business obtains, stores and analyses data to improve quality and the efficiency of systems.
• Preparing and reporting on data trends, data gaps and make recommendations on corrective actions.

Expectations is someone with a proven track record of advanced data anlytics within financial services, specifically insurance. Experience in designing, building data models and dashboard reporting packages using Tableau, Qlikview, Python, R. You should have a deep understanding of advanced statistical analytical modelling techniques to predict and optimize operational efficiencies and be comfortable in communicating these to different senior internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 8+ years of experience, candidates with less experience will still be considered for a manager grade.
