Actuarial Manager, Reserving

FocusCore is currently working with a well-known general insurance company in search of an experienced P&C actuary to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. 

This reserving manager position will support and work closely with the Appointed Actuary to look after the day-to-day operations of the actuarial function with a particular focus on reserving, IFRS 17, stress-testing as well as financial condition reporting. At the same time, this role will be leading junior team members and effectively communicating with various stakeholders and senior management from both local and regional offices. 

In order to be successful in your application, you should have at least 4 years of relevant actuarial experience from direct insurers, reinsurers, or consultancy. You should demonstrate good exam progression from an internationally recognized actuarial association. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or SAS will be a great advantage. Good communication and written skills in English will be required for this role.
